New-Skin® - Share the Outdoors Sweepstakes!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of New-Skin for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

logo-landing-page.pngI've never really been the type of person to engage in activities that could result in injury. I love being active and outdoors, but when it comes to some of the more extreme activities--skateboarding, rock climbing, BMX bike riding--it was never my thing. My husband on the other hand is the adventurer and extreme sports fanatic. He skateboards, bike rides, rock climbs--you name it, he is open to trying it!

In his quest for adventure, I have learned to tend to various cuts, scrapes, and bruises. The one thing I learned very quickly is that large bandages don't last long and are quickly removed. Now New-Skin® provides a liquid bandage that is perfect for my active husband. He can use it on his scrapes so they heal quickly without the look and feel of an oversized bandage. With our kids growing up, he is loving the fact he has someone to play with him. They often come in with cuts and scrapes too, so New-Skin®  works great with my active little ones who may not otherwise keep a bandage on long enough to heal.

New-Skin®  now offers 3 types of great products that work for everyone in the family.

-Liquid Bandage for the active cuts and scrapes
-Scar Fade™ for those past scars you want to get rid of

-Poison Ivy Treatment

for even the outdoor adventurer who gets off path

Benefits of Packing Your Lunch using PackIt

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PackIt for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Monday through Friday I pack lunches for me and my family. Plus, on the weekends, we spend time at the park and on the tgo. In one way or another we are constantly packing food or bottles to go with us to work and to play. Of course there are many fast-food options that make life a lot more convenient, but convenient is not always the best choice for my family. Having a way to pack a lunch or a picnic for my family is just a better option for these reasons:

  • Healthier options--we can opt for fresh veggies or fruits instead of fries.
  • More variety--we can prepare to take different types of cuisine each day-Chinese, Italian, etc
  • Better quality--if it is cooked at home, I know it is going to taste better than a deep fryer
  • Save money--fast food can be expensive 5-days a week.
  • Saves on gas--not having to get in the car at lunch save gas in the car

Packing a lunch does require some planning and a way to keep the food cool and fresh until time to eat. With the PackIt lunch boxes you get the ice gel packs included in a foldable and reusable lunch box that easily stores in the freezer until needed. Once expanded to a normal lunch sack size, you can pack your lunch or baby bottles to go with you to work, to the park, or on a road trip. The ice packs keep everything cool and stays colder longer than any other lunch bag. Best of all, when you are done with it, fold it up and tuck it away until you get home to put it back in your freezer for the next use.

For a limited time, you can get the PackIt lunch boxes for an awesome BOGO deal! Get 2 PackIt lunch boxes for $19.99. One for you and one for the kids! Visit their website here, PackIt lunch boxes

Who is cuter...Puppies or Babies?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puppies vs. Babies for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a mom, it is hard to resist cute baby photos...especially of our own cutie pies! Its just as hard to resist cute puppies! That is probably why I have 2 of each. But no matter how cute I think puppies are, its those sweet little baby images that make me go "Aww!". I love looking at all the baby photos and contests online. And as for those puppy photos, they are sweet, but to be honest I'd rather watch crazy and cuddly kittens online. If I have to watch our 4-legged friends online, cats win my heart. (Perhaps for another contest.)

Well, this great showdown of who is cuter has been taken to the Internet on the Animal Planet in the form of a Puppies vs. Babies online contest. Submission of photos is over, so now its time to vote. From now until November 23rd, you can go to Puppies vs. Babies to make your vote and share your opinion on who is cuter (playful smack talkin' is encouraged, so play nice!).

Create your own holiday cookbook

Do you have family recipes that you love cooking during the holiday season or throughout the year? One of my favorite gifts I was given when I moved out on my own was a recipe book from my mom. It is all handwritten recipes of my favorite family recipes she made while I was growing up. It has something I have kept with me throughout the years and I am starting to share these recipes and memories with my own kids. Its all about keeping tradition and creating memories.

Check out this awesome gift idea for yourself or a family member. Such a great value!
