I love the spring time! Warm weather. Longer days. And the annual ritual of planting my flowers and herbs. An herb garden is my all time favorite to plan each year. So, this weekend we hit up the local store for some pots, soil, and herbs to get our garden started. Just before this annually anticipated trip, I learned of a new project from Miracle Gro, Its called Expand ‘n Gro™.
Expand ‘n Gro™ is a concentrated planting mix that touts 3x more flowers and vegetables than native soil. It is combines both plant food with a coconut coir fiber. Expand ‘n Gro™ works by locking in more moisture than your basic potting soils using absorbent coir fibers to ensure the water is used efficiently. The plant food in Expand ‘n Gro™ helps to feed your plants up to 6 months! When tilling this mix into your native soil, it can help by creating more air space. The result is more workable native soil with better water holding ability. So, it can really be used for your potted plants or in your garden to improve your native soil.

So for me, I am going to try Expand ‘n Gro™ in my herb garden this year to produce a more bountiful herb crop this year for some of my husband's favorite recipes. And when I get my annual flower potted later this season, I will be sure to use Expand ‘n Gro™ to keep them happy, healthy, beautiful, and watered throughout the spring and summer seasons.
