Parent & Teacher Communication Made Easier

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of StartSomeGood. All opinions are 100% mine.

Okay, so my background is in education. I actually taught high school in Fayetteville. One thing I could always remember was trying to reach out to the parents of my students so they knew what was going on in class. As an educator, parental involvement is key to have a smooth year with your students. It seems as kids get older more parents stop staying as involved. Often it feels as if you are left alone with the students without the help of the parents to further their children's education.

Now as my daughter approaches her pre-K year, I am actively involved with her class and constantly asking the teachers for feedback about her day, her lessons, progress, etc. I hate being THAT parent, but she is my daughter and I want to make sure they know there is open communication in case there is ever a need from me. I never know how much of a bug I am being when I am always asking. Sometimes though it would be nice to have an effective way to get meaningful feedback from our teachers without bugging them constantly.

So, imagine my intrigue when I read about Dash -- an iPhone app (Android app coming soon) designed for teachers to track meaningful contact with their students' parents. Dash has already raised over $3,000 on StartSomeGood -- a crowdsourcing site where you can go support your favorite cause, product, or campaign to help bring amazing ideas and businesses to reality. Check out Dash's Launch here to learn more about the app and how you can support it.  Launch Dash

Stop by and check out Dash. How easy is it for you to talk to your ked's teachers? Would you benefit from an app like this?
